Last Post Ceremony
The Last Post ceremony allows guests to remember those Australians who have lost their lives in war.
Commencing at approximately 4.30 pm AEDT evvery day, the Memorial farewells visitors with its moving Last Post Ceremony in the Commemorative Courtyard.
Each night the ceremony shares the story behind one of the names on the Roll of Honour.

The Last Post Ceremony is proudly supported by RSL Australia and the RSL & Services Clubs Association.
Book Shop: 10 am - 4.30 pm daily
Poppy's Cafe: 9 am - 3 pm daily
Charles Bean Research Centre
The Charles Bean Reading Centre is located near Poppy's Cafe.
Monday - Friday: 10 am - 4.30 pm
Saturday: 1 pm - 4.30 pm
The Research Centre is closed on Sunday and ACT public holidays.
Entering and exiting the Memorial
Visitors can access the Memorial using the Main Entrance (L0), from either the East or West side, or the Commemorative Entrance (L2), which feature steps and a handrail.
When using the Main Entrance, on Level 0, visitors can use the East or West to enter:
East Entrance: Access via the Courtyard and underground P1 Visitor Carpark or covered ramp.
West Entrance: Access via the Sculpture Gardens.
External lifts are also available:
From the Commemorative Entrance (L2), an external lift offers access to all levels of the Memorial.
From the Main Entrance (L0), an external lift offers access to the East Courtyard (L0), P1 Visitor carpark (CP) and the Commemorative Forecourt and Poppy's Cafe (F)

Entry to the Memorial is free. Maps, brochures, and tour information are available at the Front Desk inside the main entrance. Wheelchairs and strollers are also available for free loan. Free cloaking facilities are also available; large bags cannot be taken into the Memorial for safety and security reasons.
