Salvation Army: Red Shield Appeal 2026

In 2026, the national Doorknock will take place on Saturday 30th May 2026 and Sunday 31st May 2026.

Your gift will help the community who are struggling with the challenges of homelessness natural disaster financial hardship or family crisis.

Right now everyday life has turned into a struggle for millions of families across the nation.

Grappling with hardship homelessness domestic violence addiction mental illness poverty isolation and much more many are on the brink of or already in crisis.

Your support will help them find a way out of their desperate situation to find independence self-respect and hope.

Every 17 seconds the Salvation Army in Australia helps someone at one of our services or programs.

This only happens because of the public's generous support of the Red Shield Appeal.

Get Involved

The Red Shield Appeal runs through the months of April, May and June each year.

In 2026, the national Doorknock will take place on 30 and 31 May.

Donations will be collected via face-to-face doorknocking in some locations as well as online
