Dr Jeff Brownrigg: Clive James: A Lasting Legacy - Poetry and Reflections

Join cultural historian Dr Jeff Brownrigg for a compelling illustrated presentation on the final poetic works of Clive James - Australia's sharpest wit turned soulful wordsmith.
From the biting satire of Nefertiti in the Flak Tower to the poignant reflections in Sentenced to Life and Injury Time, this session explores how James faced mortality with humour, candour, and lyrical grace.
Also featured is his posthumous anthology The Fire of Joy, a celebration of poetry meant to be spoken aloud and remembered.
Whether you're a lifelong fan or new to James' verse, this is a rare chance to rediscover the boy from Kogarah who became a literary legend.
Make it a lunch date! Grab a bite at Dom's, our on-site deli and bar, and enjoy your meal in the stunning Art Deco courtyard. Open weekdays 8.30 am-3.00 pm, weekends 10.00 am-2.00 pm.
