National Arboretum Canberra | Open
The Village Centre, National Bonsai and Penjing Collection, Sprout Cafe and The Curatoreum shop are open from 9 am to 4 pm seven days a week.
The National Arboretum Canberra features 94 forests of rare, endangered and symbolic trees from around Australia and the world. Many of the trees are still young but two of the forests are over 100 hundred years old.
Over 44,000 trees from over 100 countries are growing across the huge 250 hectare (618 acre) site, making it one of the world's largest living collections of rare, endangered and significant trees.
The Conservatory Restaurant is open for lunch from 12 noon until 2 pm daily, and for breakfast from 8 am until 11 am on Saturdays and Sundays only (not available on public holidays). The Arboretum grounds and Pod Playground are open from 6 am to 8:30 pm seven days a week during Daylight Savings Time and from 7 am to 5:30 pm seven days a week during Eastern Standard Time (Non-daylight Savings Time).
Entry to the Arboretum is free-of-charge, however, pay parking applies from 9am until 4pm daily at the rate of $2.10 per hour with a maximum of $7.80 for one day.
